Introduction
Dr. Niusha Sohrabi is an internationally trained dentist who earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Azad Dental School, Tehran, in 2018. Upon graduation, she began practicing as a general dentist and joined the Dental Implant Research Center at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, where she contributed to several pioneering clinical and material-based studies in the field of implant dentistry.
Her research has primarily focused on the clinical effectiveness of newly developed Iranian dental implants, the use of eggshell powder as a bone graft substitute, and biocompatible alternatives such as PEEK in place of titanium-based implants. She has also participated in the development of a national dental implant registry and explored innovative local drug delivery systems for the treatment of peri-implantitis.
Alongside her research, Dr. Sohrabi actively assisted in implant surgeries and prosthetic procedures and provided comprehensive general dental care. Since 2019, she has been operating her own private dental practice.
In March 2022, Dr. Sohrabi immigrated to Canada and successfully completed the National Dental Equivalency Process. She passed all equivalency exams on her first attempt and completed the entire process by April 2025.
Academically distinguished, Dr. Sohrabi graduated with the highest overall score in both the six-year dental program and the national basic sciences exam among all branches of Azad Dental School.
