This route runs through Canadian dental schools rather than directly through NDEB exams alone.

How the PLA / Advanced Placement Pathway Works

Pass the AFK exam. For most Canadian universities offering this pathway, AFK is the required first step, the same exam used for the Direct Equivalency route.

Complete bench tests or an interview. Requirements vary by university — some use hands-on bench testing, others use a structured admissions interview.

Complete the bridging/degree-completion program. Typically a 2–3 year DDS program at the accepting university.

Take NDEB’s written exam and OSCE. After completing the DDS program, candidates take NDEB’s Objective Structured Clinical Examination and written exam to become fully licensed.

The guarantee requires at least 90% attendance of live sessions and completion of all assigned mock exams, homework, and lab practice. Candidates who don’t meet these requirements are not eligible for a refund under this guarantee.

How long does the refund take?

Approved refund claims are processed within 14 business days.

Can I get the guarantee on a retake attempt?

The guarantee applies to your first NDECC attempt taken while actively enrolled in the program. It does not extend to prior attempts made before enrolling with ConfiDentist.
