Dr. Parisa Akhavan graduated as a Pediatric dentist specialist from Tehran University of medical sciences, Tehran, Iran in 1998. She took a complementary academic fellowship course in “Hospital Dentistry” at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and was actively involved in dental treatment for numerous young children and children with special needs under sedation and general anesthesia.

She practiced Pediatric Dentistry for over 20 years by providing comprehensive dental care for pediatric patients from a very young age through adolescence. Besides, she was a university faculty member and as an assistant professor, worked with many graduate and post-graduate university students in the past 20 years.

After moving to Canada, Dr. Parisa completed the NDEB Equivalency Process and the National Board Examination. She is a proud member of the Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, and Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
